Afraid of Having A Permanent Filler?

Question: I have hollow cheeks and deep smile lines. I like the idea of a long term filler like Bellafill® that lasts many years. How do I get past my concerns over a result that I may not like and that can’t be reversed.
Answer: The long duration of Bellafill® is not a reason to fear a bad outcome. You can take several steps to increase the likelihood of a good result.
Most important, find a specialist who is highly skilled in Bellafill® techniques. Bellafill® is injected with cannulas which are trickier than needles. Cannulas are blunt tipped compared to sharp needles that shear the tissues. Cannulas can give less bruising, swelling and discomfort.
Along with having an expert injector, a strong aesthetic eye for the facial units and intricate anatomy is crucial to achieve facial balance and natural results. Artistic skill is often not learned, but a skill one is born with.
Finally, unlike most temporary fillers, Bellafill® is gradually performed over 2-4 treatments making it unlikely, in skilled hands, to overdo the results. An initial foundation treatment is followed by a contouring treatment and later one for fine tuning. Before each treatment, facial units are carefully reassessed to assure accuracy in filling and facial balance.
Careful consultation with a skilled Bellafill® specialist is the first step in determining if you are an Bellafill® candidate.
