Question: I’m interested in Bellafill because it lasts so long, but is it true that long-term fillers are not as safe as temporary fillers?
Answer: I was recently in China and Hong Kong this past November after being invited as a faculty speaker to an aesthetic medical conference. While in China, Suneva Medical, the U.S. based company that manufactures and distributes Bellafill, introduced me to the director of the Chinese partner company that plans to distribute Bellafill in China and Hong Kong.
It’s an exciting time for Bellafill which is now available in Hong Kong. Bellafill is also undergoing the FDA approval process in mainland China. In a country with such a large population, a strong desire for facial cosmetic enhancement and solid financial resources combined with the receptiveness of the Chinese medical community to incorporating Bellafill into their practices, Bellafill has the potential to be a superstar filler in both Hong Kong and China.
While in Asia, we discussed the prospect of my teaching and training other physicians on the proper use of Bellafill. Fortunately, the Chinese partner company recognizes the value and need in having highly skilled injectors as the basis for making Bellafill a success in China and Hong Kong.
Eventually, given the tremendous interest in a 5-Year filler like Bellafill which has been shown to be both safe and effective in FDA trials, Europe will also be an important market in the upcoming future.
For too long, temporary fillers have dominated the market because of the misconceptions that pharmaceutical companies and inaccurate ads have created about long-term fillers. However, safe and effective long-term injectable fillers do exist and are here to stay. Bellafill’s time has come!
When using a long-term filler, the key lies in finding a highly skilled injector. BellaDiamond injectors are in the top 1 percent of Bellafill injectors in the world.
